Speaker:
With our upcoming trip to North Carolina in October, we have decided to add a twist with our speaker this month. One of our members, Clyde Hunt is an avid surf fisher who frequents the Outer Banks targeting inshore fish. Clyde has been fishing the Outer Banks from Oregon Inlet to Buxton (The Point) for well over 20 years and he primarily targets Red Drum, but does fish for flounder, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, rockfish and speckled trout. He has caught Red Drum over 45” on many occasions and in 2002 won the Red Drum tournament sponsored by Frank & Fran’s in Buxton with a 49 ½” fish. He will be giving us a power point presentation on the how to’s of fishing the surf and will have some tackle setups for us to see. Clyde will be happy to answer our questions concerning where to fish, when to fish and how to fish. So let’s give Clyde a big ol’ welcome.

Vendor:
The chapter will have everything you need for sale at cost for kingfishing - hooks, wire, skirts and swivels. There is no vendor this month. TABLES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR OUR MEMBERS AND WE INVITE YOU TO BRING YOUR EXCESS TACKLE AND BOATS SUPPLIES TO SWAP AND SELL.

It has to become very difficult to get a commitment from vendors to attend our monthly meetings. Therefore, I ask any of you who may have a connection to assist me with getting a speaker or vendor to attend. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please speak to Ed Susa. .

From Frederick Maryland, take I-70 east towards Baltimore to exit 62 ( New Market, Rt 75 north ). Go north on MD 75 to the stoplight and Turn left onto Rt 144 and the fire house is on the left about 0.9 miles down the road. Turn left either before or after the fire house.
