President's Message
by Rick Thompson

I hope everyone has a great Holiday season and a safe one also. It has been a tuff year of fishing for most of us. The wind offshore has been the worst I have ever seen and has stopped me from going on several trips to N.C.

The Rockfish have been showing up in Va. Beach and at Oregan Inlet Bridge just in the last week. You should do yourself a favor and try to get a day or two at Va. Beach out of Rudee Inlet. When you see thousands of birds working over a big school of large Rockfish, it's a sight you won't ever forget. It is one of the easiest trips to make even if the wind is blowing. You are fishing so close to shore the water is never too rough to get out and enjoy a really great day of fishing.

Our December meeting is next Wed the Dec 12th. We hope everyone can make it. Dinner is our treat-it's FREE. Please bring all the fishing gear you don't like or don't use. Someone else in the club might be able to put it to good use. Swap it or sell it cheap. I will have the rest of Marty's tackle for sale, there are still a lot of lead sinkers to sell real cheap.

Bring your pictures from this year of fishing also; we want to more posted on the web. I also expect some more stories about the ones that got away.

This is the last meeting to get Dinner tickets for our January dinner/dance on the 11th at Dutch's Daughter we only have 100 tickets so don't wait to get yours. There will be no tickets sold at the door the night of the dinner.

I wish you all well and hope you have enjoyed our meetings this year. We all need to personally thank Rob Pellicot for all the work he does for this club and our trips, without his support and efforts this club would not be what it is today- Thanks to you all for your help- Rick

Speaker:
This month we have decided to have an open forum for all our members to mingle and talk about their fishing year. Anyone interested in sharing their stories (lies, fish tales) are welcome to take a few minutes and tell everyone what they caught, how they caught and where it was caught. Rob Pellicott will be showing us all how to tie King rigs for next years Carolina trip, so tale note as he will have a great demonstration.
