Chincoteague Island Fishing Report
by Captain Charlie Koski
Continued from Page 2
Here is a pic of a Window Pane Flounder (according to Petersons Field Guide). We caught it on Tuesday, didn't even know it was on the hook. The fish was 14" in length. I caught on a charter on Tuesday May 22 in South Queen Sound, Chincoteague. We did not weigh the fish since
it was released to continue producing more of them. There was no size limit on them from what I have heard from other captains and tackle shops.

Fredrick Chapter Flounder Tournament Wrap-Up
by Dave Griffin
The 2007 Flounder Tournament was blown out on its first day, but many of the 19 boats entered managed to get out on Saturday and Sunday and check in a decent number of fish. These fish ranged from 2.2 lbs to 5 lbs with the 5 pounder belonging to Jack
long of the 'Nancy Jo'. This fish took the calcutta which was worth $500. The first place winner was Fred Keene on the 'Mr. In- Between' with 4 nice fish over 3 lbs each, including a 4.7 pounder. Fred has now won this tournament 2 years in a row! We kicked off the tournament
on Friday night with a buffet dinner at Maria's Restaurant where we raffled off a rod and reel combo and had a 50/50 drawing. Allen Mitchell won the rod/reel combo and our newest member, Demetrios Chirgott, won the 50/50. It's great to see the entrants from past years continuing
to support this little tournament, and also to see the newer members getting involved. I'm hoping to make a few changes for next year to bring in more people and will bring thes ideas up with the membership later this year.
Tournament awards will be presented at the June meeting. Thanks to all those captains and anglers who participated.
