President's Message
by Rick Thompson
What a great meeting we had. The speaker didn't show up, who was also the vendor. But it did not matter to the 70 or 80 members that came. We had a real good time telling stories and talking about fishing to our friends and fellow fishermen. I think
it showed we all come to the meeting not just to hear someone try to teach us something new, but to spend time shooting the breeze and getting to know each other better. We did get Matt Lacey to tell us about his spread and some tactics he uses for rockfishing. We really appreciate
all the great advise we get from our members who are willing to share their idea's with us. Crabby got to tell of the perils of owing a new boat and how they are all different, it just shows you even the most experienced boaters are still learning all the time. None of us get
to spend as much time as we would like to on the water. It's very hard to remember how to do all the things we need to in running these machines. Then you get to think you know what we are doing with your electronics. The rockfishing season will be the first time back on the
water for most of us. Take your time getting re-acquainted with your boat and all the gadgets we have to make us better and safer Captains. We want everyone to have a good time and catch fish, but its more important to get back to the dock in one piece. Good luck to everyone
in the tournament and hope to see all of you guys in Solomons.
