President's Message
by Stephen Shechtel

Looking to 2007 and the Close of 2006.

Most of you may not know that to your Board of Directors, it is already 2007. Yup, the Board has been very busy planning Frederick Chapter's Agenda for 2007. Beginning with the Annual Dinner at Dutch's Daughter running through what will be the 3rd Annual Swap Meet in December 07, work is well underway. Tournament Chairs must be filled, reservations made, and so much more.

In this Newsletter, Frederick's "2007 Proposed Agenda" will be available for member comment at the next meeting. This is your chance to voice an opinion on what Frederick Chapter will do in 2007. Please direct your suggestion(s), comment(s), additions, or deletions to any Chapter Officer or Director.

Mr. Luders once again has outdone himself in planning our Annual Dinner at Dutch's Daughter (Jan 10th). Tickets are (for the third year in a row) only $27.00 and will be on sale at the November meeting. Cocktails will start at 6:00 P.M. This year, seven lucky members will go win a $100.00 gift certificate (a/k/a door prizes).

Chapter Elections will take placed at the November meeting. Please be sure to attend to have your vote counted. Also at the November meeting: Lenny Rudow will return to talk about his new book, Rudow's Guide To Fishing the Mid Atlantic. Aside from having articles published in some of the nation's top fishing magazines, Lenny has written numerous books on fishing. He's the fishing editor for Boating magazine, a regular contributor to the Fisherman.

Ed Susa is hard at work organizing the swap meet for December's meeting. If you want a table to display your stuff for sale, let Ed know at:

This event is sure to be bigger and better than last year.

Kids and Fishing
Have you taken a child fishing lately? Did you know that every Frederick Chapter Tournament has a child's division? Did you know that there are special prizes reserved for children? If you took a child fishing, take a picture of the trophy and get a copy to us for publication. Ed Sousa is working on a children's fishing classic. Please see Ed if you have any ideas for the event.
