President's Message

Today is Thursday, December 22, 2005. Last night, twelve dedicated Frederick Chapter members took time from family and preparing for the holidays to meet at Shockley Honda. Their purpose? To provide you with a great 2006 calendar chocked full of fun. Beginning with our first event, the January Awards Dinner at Dutch's Daughter, and ending with the December Swap Meet, we have scheduled a minimum of one Chapter activity for each and every month. Everyone should be downloading the Calendar. Your Board has scheduled for you one terrific year.

As for now, I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season. As I plan to be fishing all next week, I know my year is starting off great. How about yours? A healthy and happy holiday season to all and your families. And most of all, tight lines to all.

Tickets are on sale now for Frederick Chapter January 11th Meeting Dinner. Tickets are $25.00 per person. See: Bob Pellicot or Rick Thompson for tickets. A $1,000 in door prizes are to be given away at the dinner.

Tickets are available now for Frederick Chapter 2006 Super Bowl Fund Raiser. Tickets are $10.00 each with each ticket worth up to $160.00 in winnings. See: Bob Pellicot, Crabby, Rick Thomson, or Rob Pellicot for tickets.

Dave Griffin will be Chairman of the 2006 Flounder Tournament. (May 19-21) Please make your reservations early so he can make reservations for dinner, slips, etc.

Rob Pellicot will be Chairman of the 2006 Spring Tournament. (May 5-7).

A chairperson is needed for the Frederick Shakedown Cruise & Brunch- Sandy Point to Kent Narrows on April 8th. If you are interested, please see Stephen Shechtel.

Director Wanted:
There is one opening to serve out the remaining term (1 year) of one retiring Director on the Board. If you are interested in serving the Chapter, please contact Dave Griffin or another Director. Board meetings are once a month on the third Wednesday and run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Important Date Changes:
The MSSA Spring Tournament will be May 5-7th this year as the DNR
prohibited any tournaments in April due to the supposed overfishing last year. Sign ups will start at the February meeting.
The Flounder Tournament will be May 19-21st and there will be a dinner on Friday or Saturday night.
