Chincoteague Island, VA
Fishing Report by Charlie Koski
VA striper season on the bay side is open until December 31st. The Bay Bridge Tunnel Pilings are producing some nice fish. Tautog are being caught at the Cement ships right out of Kiptopeake State Park. Stripers are being caught around the bridge
pilings and in the surf. Casting 1-2 oz. bucktails adorned with white or chartreuse shad or white curly tail grubs are catching the most fish near the pilings of Black Narrows and Queen Sound Bridges. I am sure that if you troll off the beach they are out there also. Stripers
are being brought in at high tide in the suds at Assateague Island using cut bait.
Recreational fishermen need to make their comments heard on the flounder quotas. As you read last month it was a tie to 9-9 to get the harvest numbers equaled to 50-50.
You can send your comments to: Mr. Jack Travelstead,
Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, 144 Eye Street NW, 6th floor, Washington, DC 20005 or email him at:
The more anglers who write their concerns and send them in the more hope we have to get them to ease up on the regulations and get us more fish in the freezer to eat.
I am preparing for Tautog trip out of Ocean City on Nov 29 on the headboat The Morning Star so I got to get back to getting the gear ready. Good Fishing to all.

Committees:
Everyone will soon be contacted by the new committee chairpersons. When you are contacted, it is because the committees are looking for your help to make the Frederick Chapter even better than it is. All of the committees need your help, even if only for a minor item. Please
volunteer to help keep our chapter strong and active. Who knows, you may like it and want to become even more involved.
Fish and Boat Shows:
If you are interested in working at the MSSA Booth at any of the upcomming fishing or boat shows, please let BOB Pellicott know which show(s), and what time(s) you are available. This is a great way to get into the show for free, meet people, and have some fun.
Alltackle.Com:
The online resource for fishing gear at alltackle.com has agreed to give Frederick Chapter Members discounts on their already low prices. Call them at 888-810-7283 from 9am-9pm and tell them you are with the Frederick
MSSA to get special pricing, no shipping & no sales tax. We hope to have them at the July meeting as well.
