President's Message
by Dave Griffin

Well I did it, bought another boat. I know you say I don't have time for
the one I have now. The story gets even better. It's a sailboat. Now before everyone starts to give me grief, times change as well as people. I felt the need to relax a little more & enjoy the ride at 2 knots. Yeah it can be some work, people will call me names, I have to end each VHF conversation with "OVER", but what the heck, I always wanted to do this & it's still a boat. Drop me a line as I'm trying to name the new girl & can use some help. Well back to more important issues in the chapter.

We have an election this month & need everyone to come out. While I will be leaving office after 6 long years, I have enjoyed my time at the helm. It's now time for a change. Don't worry, I'll still be around, hopefully more, once I settle down with the business & get my new wife under control - any ideas would be appreciated. Really it's been great, just many changes this year. I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time on the chapter. I look forward to the future & thank for having me.

See you at the meeting.
Dave Griffin

Speaker:
We are pleased: to announce that Frederick Chapter's own: "The Rod Man", Eric Kellner will be our guest speaker at the November meeting. Order direct from the Rod Man by faxing or mailing us your order. The Rod Man has been providing quality fishing rods & fishing equipment since 1980. They're the Washington area's exclusive Authorized Distributor for Sam Scott Rods & Charter Pro Rods. All Fishing Rods offered by the Rod Man are built for fishermen by fishermen. For over 19 years "The Rod Man" has specialized in offering Chesapeake Bay & Blue Water high quality custom fishing rods. All of their Rods are quality craftsmanship; double wrapped, epoxy coated, hand crafted rods. They are made in the USA. "Rod Man" Steve Kellner & "Rod Man" Eric Kellner have worked with charter boat captains, individual sport fishermen & master craftsman rod builders testing various prototype rods. Together they have developed a comprehensive line of saltwater rods that extends from light saltwater to ocean offshore fishing. You may have seen their booths at the Timmonium Show in January, the February Baltimore Boat Show, or the March Swap Meets. You really don't want to miss this great opportunity to learn about the advantages of custom made fishing rods, how great fishing rods are made, & how inexpensive it is to own custom made verses store bought fishing rods. All of the trolling & blue water rods on "Reel Love" were custom made by "The Rod Man". Anyone who has been on "Reel Love" can testify to the beauty, strength, & sensitivity of the Kellner's custom made rods.
