Report from Bill's Fishing
Shack
By Bill Johnson

Bottom fishing continues to be hit and miss at best. Due to the heavy rainfall, there has been a lot of bad water, which I feel has contributed to the slow fishing. There have been some small schools of breaking fish off of Cove Point and the gas dock up to the power plant. Most of the schools have been small rockfish with a few schools being small bluefish. As usual I have found the larger fish under the schools. I have picked up some nice flounder at a few of my haunts. Have had reports of more flounder, though small, being caught off the eastern edge (buoys 74 and 76). Have not been down the last few weeks due to family matters, but have heard from Capt. Brian Stewart of the Flora Vee, and he informed me that he did well on large spot and a few nice 15-16" croakers in the mouth of the river recently. Hope to have more information at the meeting on Wednesday night.

For the latest fishing reports, you can reach me at the Fishin’ Shack, 410-326-1891.
