Fishing season is finally around the corner so be sure to be at the March meeting to sign up for our upcoming trips- the Shakedown Cruise and the chapter Flounder Tournament in April and the MSSA Spring Tournament in May.
Matt Able from Sea Hawk Tackle in Pocomoke will be our guest speaker. Many of you will remember that Matt gave a great presentation on flounder fishing last year. This year he'll be talking about drum fishing.
As always, there'll be good food, good prizes and everyone should be wound up about Springtime! Hope to see you all at the meeting.
Thanks are in order to chapter member Paul Ropp, owner of AB Seas Marine & Jim Hoffman of Load Rite Trailers for being speakers last month. AB Seas is a dealer for Load Rite trailers & accessories. Also Ron Crabbe of Ron's Fishing Supplies for his donations to the
prizes & coming out as a vendor selling various rockfish rigs and supplies.
Georgie Kline of Tyler's Tackle will be at our April meeting. You will be able to purchase parachutes, bucktails, umbrellas, daisy chains, shads, Okuma 20TL reels, tackle and huge nets at the best prices.

Specials at the next meeting Umbrella Bags for Sale - Great for storing those large umbrellas and they can hold 2-3 that are already rigged. The cost will be $12.50 each and Gordon will have them at the meeting.
Scotty Planer Board Clips for sale for $5.00. They have a stainless steel leader a green hi vis tip. They work equally well as a downrigger release or a flat line clip.

Matt Abel, owner of Sea Hawk Sports Center in Pocomoke City, MD, will be talking about drum fishing, the great fishery they had last year & have a detailed handout on VA. Eastern shore flounder fishing. Everyone will get tips & great
information for our upcoming flounder tournament. He will have tackle, reels, flounder rigs for sale so make sure to bring some extra cash or credit card. He has custom made flounder rigs with stainless hooks, bulk stick line & stainless steel hooks for those who make their
own rigs along with all other types of supplies. He's a great source of information & is on the way to Chincoteague. Rumor has it he will have his infamous bags. These have additional information, tackle giveaways, & new product samples. He ran out last year & had over
80 bags, so get here early. Matt is a class act. He provides a wealth of information is willing to make the long trip. The bags contained easily over $10 worth of products last year. He donates a rod & reel combo to the chapter each year. Make sure to support the little tackle
shop's that provide the service & information the weekend warriors like us really need.
