President's Message
by Dave Griffin

2003 is here and the Frederick Chapter is ready to kick things off with our annual Dinner Meeting. We have over 110 people signed up now and are looking forward to great time. Remember to bring your own alcoholic beverages and the chapter will provide mixers. In addition to the great food, we will have 3 raffles. First will be your choice of a rod/reel combo or a handheld VHF radio, second will be a Marlin 12 gauge Slug Master, and third will be a 50/50 drawing. Tickets for all three raffles will be $5.00 each.

Our 2003 Calendar of events will be available at the dinner meeting. Pick yours up and start planning now. The flounder tournament is only a few months away and the spring tournament right on its heels. These and all of the other events listed should be bigger & better than ever this year.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the dinner meeting and thank everyone for your support of our chapter and the MSSA. See you then.

January Dinner Meeting

The dinner will be held at the New Midway Fire hall on January 8th. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 5-10. Doors open at 6:30 and food will be served at 7pm. It will be all you can eat: roast turkey, fried oysters, fried shrimp, tea, coffee and all the trimmings. It is BYOB for any alcoholic beverages and the Chapter will provide sodas and mixers.

Directions from Frederick: Take Rt. 15 North to Rt. 26 East. Go about 2 miles and bear left onto Rt. 194 North. Go about 8 miles to New Midway Fire Hall (on right side of the road just before the railroad tracks).

The food is superior. Please make sure to get your money in prior to the dinner so we can give them an accurate count.

At this late time, we request you notify either Dave at 301-473-7133 or Maureen at 301-253-0539, stop by D&D and/or mail a check payable to Frederick MSSA to:

Last Month Winner
Skip Johnson won the 50/50 valued at $25. Yes we did have a meeting despite the weather. We were treated to a free meal of grilled BBQ Chicken. Planning for the next year, speaker suggestions and off course very large fish stories were on the agenda.
