Annual King Mackerel - Atlantic Beach
- Tournament Dates and General Rules: October 07-14, 2006 - Chairman: Bert Edmonston
You may fish every day except Wednesday. This is a mandatory lay day including the Calcutta. You may weigh 3 fish per day in the weekly tournament & up to 6 fish total for free. Any fish over the 6 total will cost $10 per fish and must be paid when weighed.
Fish must be weighed the day caught.
Boat Captain must be Frederick MSSA Member.
- Daily Tournament:
Entry fee: $50 by Sept. 15th or $70 after Sept 15th - Oct. 14th.
Daily Winner: 1st and 2nd place will be determined by weight. 1 winner per boat each day. 2nd place will be a flat $50.
Rules: In case of a tie, money will be split equally.
Limit 1 fish per day & you may fish every day except Wednesday.
If there is no winner, (no one checks in a fish) then the money will be split equally over the remaining days. If there is no winner on Friday, a drawing will determine the winner.
- Weekly Tournament:
Entry fee: $100 by Sept 15th or $125 after Sept. 15th - Oct 10th
Weekly Winners: Cash prizes paid for top 3 places for King Mackerel @ 50%, 30%, and 20%. A 4th prize of $75 cash will be awarded as the Sundowner Motel Prize.
Rules: This will be based on the total weight of 6 King Mackerel for the 4 fishing days in the 5 day period. You can weigh up to 3 fish per day. Your first 6 fish are weighed in for free. Each additional fish weighed will cost $10. The $10 for additional fish will
go into a pot for the boat finishing in last place and must have weighed at least 1 fish.
Limit of three fish per day per boat to weigh.
In the case of a tie, prize money will be awarded to the boat weighing in on the earliest day. In case of a tie on the same day, prize money will be split equally.
- Gordon Jernigan Calcutta:
Entry fee: $100 by Sept 15th or $125 after Sept. 15th - Oct 10th
Winner take all for Longest King Mackerel
Rules: Fish every day except Wednesday.
- VHF Channel 71 operations and communications /Chapter Channel/
- Chapter Weigh-In: All fish will be weighed in at the Sundowner Motel by the official Weigh Master - Dave Griffin. Weigh in time 5:30pm sharp, GPS Time.
